The 2002 description of the yarn is as follows: Description: A novelty "eyelash" yarn. Use for entire projects, for trim or combine with other yarns. Free pattern on label for black and white scarf shown below 1 3/4 (50g) 60 yrs (54m) 100% polyester. Hand wash and dry. Gauge: Knit: 16 sts + 26 rows = 4" (10cm) on St st with size 10 1/2 (6.5 mm) needles Crochet: 12 sc + 14 rows = 4" (10 cm) with size K-10 (6.5 mm) hook I remember using Fun Fur pretty frequently in a variety of colors. I made a sweater for my dog, flipflops, thin scarves, and scrunchies. As I got older, I looked back at Fun Fur and similar yarns with a sense of derision. But as time has gone on, I look back on that and other novelty yarns fondly. My only goal was to make something fun and cute and I greatly enjoyed the feeling of interesting textures running through my hands.
